A dynamic leader whose innovative spirit and unwavering commitment to community uplift have positioned her as a force in professional sports, advocacy, and entrepreneurship. A current student of Alabama A&M University, Kimberly made history as the founder of the HBCU Basketball Association—securing a 10-year TV deal with Byron Allen’s Media Group, as featured in Sports Illustrated. She also stands out as the first African American female majority owner of a professional basketball team in Alabama, the Magic City Surge. Her pioneering approach to sports leadership is matched only by her deep dedication to social impact, demonstrated through transformative community initiatives, strategic partnerships, and servant leadership.
Kimberly’s professional journey began at just 17 years old, when she joined Cox Media Group in Birmingham, Alabama—progressing from research to promotions and ultimately becoming the youngest female in the city to host a weekly open mic featuring celebrity hosts. Over the years, she worked with three major record labels, managed multiple artists, producers, and athletes, and produced high-impact events connecting entertainment professionals with vital resources. Beyond the media realm, Kimberly also thrives as a Tax Professional, Certified Notary, and DIY Credit Repair specialist, empowering individuals and businesses to achieve financial stability and success.
Deeply motivated by a passion for community advocacy, Kimberly served as the Day Program and Community Outreach Coordinator for Firehouse Ministries. There, she spearheaded a free health screening clinic for homeless populations—recognized nationally by the United States Public Health Service—and launched vocational training programs with Lawson State Community College to provide free welding and electrical courses for those in need. She further demonstrated her commitment to bridging social gaps by creating “Arts to Bricks,” an annual event uniting Birmingham’s unhoused community and local residents through music, games, and shared experiences, raising essential funds to provide housing for the homeless. Her background in nonprofit leadership also includes serving as Development Director for GLOVE Ministries, supporting domestic violence survivors and homeless individuals.
Kimberly’s dedication to excellence has earned her numerous accolades, including the Amelia Boynton Robinson Women of Valor Award fby the Tuskeegee University Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.and honors during Women’s History Month at the University of Montevallo.
